It’s hard to believe it’s already been six weeks since we opened Colony Spring Gardens, our newest and most central venue yet.

We've watched the workspace come to life! Our team has been busy transforming the building, welcoming a wave of new members, and hosting some fantastic events.

We’re expanding

In just six weeks, all of our dedicated desk memberships have been snapped up!

We’ve loved welcoming a diverse mix of freelancers, startups, and growing teams into the Colony Spring Gardens community. And with our private offices filling up fast, it won't be long until they're all gone too.

With demand showing no signs of slowing down, we’re already expanding. Work is underway on the third floor, where we're adding even more desks and private offices to welcome new members ready to join the community.

Summer events kick off

On Thursday 12th June, we had the pleasure of welcoming the global coworking community to Colony Spring Gardens for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour.

GCUC, the world's largest coworking conference series, brings together the decision-makers and game-changers from across the coworking and flexible workspace industry. Each year, it lands in Manchester for GCUC UK.

Our Head of Sales and GCUC UK MC, Georgia Kaye Berry, hosted the tour, giving our coworking peers an inside look at our newest space and how Colony is helping fuel the growth of businesses and communities in Manchester.

Just a week later, we hosted our very first workshop and networking event - Connect, Camera, Action - led by YourAjency and tailormade.social. The space was filled with female founders ready to connect and learn how to level up their content.

Brunch, Colony-style

Of course, no Colony venue is complete without one of our legendary brunches and Colony Spring Gardens' first did not disappoint.

Spring stars Shaz and Jonny pulled out all the stops with a spread that had everyone’s mouth watering. Safe to say our Springers (as Jonny likes to call them) were treated to a proper Colony welcome and were thrilled to hear that brunch day is here to stay.

Teaming up with our neighbours

We’ve also been getting to know our neighbours. One of our first stops was Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat, where we tried their brand-new lunch menu (we're still dreaming about that crispy beef rice bowl...).

And to those of you who haven't heard of the Colony Card, members get 20% off the à la carte menu at Lucky Cat. It’s perfect for client lunches, team celebrations, or just when you want to “treat yo self.”

We also partnered with other fantastic local businesses to offer exclusive discounts, including King Street Gym, Knoops, and Flight Club.

Speaking of partnerships, MYCOM Group have joined us at Colony Spring Gardens, having previously worked from Colony Piccadilly. They’ve settled in nicely at their dedicated desks, and we’re proud to be their official coworking partner for 2025. Together, we’ve hosted numerous events that give young professionals across Manchester the chance to connect.

Final touches

The final touches to Colony Spring Gardens are coming together beautifully.

The reception area is currently getting a signature Colony makeover and, just in time for summer, our terrace is nearly ready! We can’t wait to soak up the sun and watch the city go by with a tinny in hand (only after 4pm, of course).

New venue coming in 2025

As Colony Spring Gardens continues to grow, we’re also getting ready to open Colony King Street later this year - another beautifully renovated space in the heart of Manchester.
