The Farm Under The City

Directed by Brett Chapman & Jordan Carroll

Luke Ellis is a builder-turned-farmer that has set up an innovative new business in the heart of Sheffield's industrial quarter. Leaf + Shoot is an underground vertical bioponic farm built in a disused spring factory. His closed loop system takes the food waste from local restaurants, cafés and businesses in his community and uses organic cycling methods including worm farms and hot composting to grow micro-herbs and vegetables beneath the streets of Sheffield. We follow Luke on his inspirational journey to revolutionise the way we all think about urban farming.

First Kiss (With A Girl)

Director: Clodagh Chapman

A kitschy, low-fi, bubblegum-sweet glance at queer intimacy, and that special sort of 11pm-nightclub magic of late adolescence.

Wheelie

Thomas Crilly

"The film was made on no budget, the boy in the film being a local kid who lives near me. The film is inspired by the works of Chantal Akerman, and aims to show the meditative nature of a boy and his bike."

Look For The Diamonds

Director: James Slater

Bradford born director James Slater documents Joel who has four kidneys, but none of them work. He has to go on dialysis every day in order to survive but refuses to let his condition define him. Through a uniquely positive outlook on life, Joel is not just surviving, but living.

Green Space, Dark Skies - Three Cliffs Bay

Walk The Plank / CC Lab

For Green Space Dark Skies, thousands of people from all paths in life are becoming Lumenators, each carrying a low impact light into the landscape. Together, we are experiencing beautiful green spaces across the UK. Imagine thousands of lights making patterns on mountains, lakes and moorland across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These lights are sensitive to the night-time environment.

JUDAS

Writer/Director: Adam Palmer

Two opposing gangs. Two individuals from either side of the dispute. In Judas, watch as they come together and share a moment during a seemingly innocent game of basketball.

We are also excited to announce that we are collaborating with Bearded Fellows to bring you a panel discussion from industry experts on how to "Own your career in film & tv in 2023".

We will be announcing the panel speakers very soon!

As always there will be free snacks and drinks provided in our wonderful Silk St venue.

Spaces are limited so RSVP for your free ticket today.
