We have officially opened our doors to Colony Spring Gardens.

We have officially opened our doors to Colony Spring Gardens.

This is the latest addition to our growing network of workspaces across Manchester. With this launch, our presence now spans seven venues across Ancoats, New Islington, Piccadilly, and Spring Gardens.

Reflecting on the significance of this milestone, Colony Founder Aaron Ezair said:

“It’s fantastic to finally announce the opening of Spring Gardens, six months after we first shared news of the purchase. 19 Spring Gardens is not only a central location in one of the UK’s most exciting cities for growth, but it is also a state-of-the-art, flexible workspace designed to inspire its members and visitors.”

Screenshare booths and private offices

The new location sits at 19 Spring Gardens, right in the heart of the Upper King Street Conservation Area, Manchester’s iconic business district. Just a five-minute walk from key transport links to both Victoria and Piccadilly stations, it’s neighboured by an array of independent cafés, bars, restaurants, gyms, salons, and more.

Aaron continued,

“It’s an exciting time for Colony, as the launch of this new venue will further expand our network to include global businesses and strengthen our position as a key player in the city’s dynamic coworking network.”

Upon entering the space, you’ll be welcomed by our Community Leads, Shaz and Jonny - familiar faces from Jactin House, who have journeyed across the city to look after our newest community members.

Jonathan Paton, our Locations Manager, reflected on the care that went into launching the new venue:

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our first members to Spring Gardens and to build our very first city centre community! We’re so proud of how the space has come together, our team has really poured their heart into designing a workspace that’s warm, inviting, and full of the little Colony touches our members love.”

Dedicated desk area

As always, the interior has been thoughtfully curated by our Product Team to reflect the garden theme inspired by the street’s name - expect earthy shades, lots of oak and plenty of greenery woven throughout.

Stay tuned for an upcoming blog and video, where we’ll break down the creative journey behind Spring Gardens - from the Product Team’s initial vision to the fit-out and final touches.

The newly designed workspace will offer a range of flexible options, including private offices for 4 to 10 people, 12 dedicated coworking desks, meeting rooms, collaboration areas, a community hub, plus an outdoor terrace.

Looking to the future, Rebecca Cox, Managing Director at Colony, said:

“As we continue to grow in the city centre, we see endless opportunities to collaborate with and support the region’s scaling businesses in the years ahead. With the rise of hybrid working and the growing demand for adaptable spaces, Spring Gardens stands as a key location to support business growth and innovation in this vibrant city.”

Upcoming plans for 2025 include the opening of our eighth workspace at 76 King Street.
