Exciting News: Rebecca Cox Promoted to Managing Director!
We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Rebecca Cox, who will be transitioning from Operations Director to Managing Director at Colony.
Rebecca first joined Colony in 2019 as a Site Manager at the Piccadilly workspace, just a few months after it opened for the first time. Over the years, she has played an important part in Colony’s growth, stepping into the role of Operations Director and overseeing the openings of Silk Street, Flint Glass Works and Fabrica.
Having originally come from a background in advertising and sales, Rebecca is also the mastermind behind the Colony Card. Because of her, we get to enjoy amazing discounts at restaurants and cafes while also helping to support local businesses - thank you Rebecca!
Her promotion to Managing Director marks an exciting new chapter for both Rebecca and our community! Starting from now, Rebecca will be leading Colony as we continue to grow and expand. Expect big things to come in 2025!
Looking back at her time at Colony, Rebecca said: "Colony has evolved so much since I first joined. Back then, the Site Managers handled all the sales, marketing, and finances for their own workspaces, as well as the day-to-day operational tasks. This allowed me to learn all aspects of the business which has been invaluable to my personal growth and provided a wider understanding of the flexible workspace industry and where Colony sits within this. Being part of the expansion of the business, not only the number of our locations, but most importantly, our team, has provided me with a huge sense of satisfaction over the last few years. We now have a Product, Marketing and Sales department as well as our growing Site Teams and the people within them continue to be instrumental to our continued success."
"Whilst we have quadrupled in size and have around ten times the number of members that we had when I began my journey here, our core values have remained the same. We’re all about community and collaboration, and a central part of my role over the years and in the future is to ensure our members continue to feel that, even as we grow."
Reflecting on her new role, she said: “I can't wait to sink my teeth into it! Having spent five years assisting with the formation of our sites from the ground up, I am looking forward to focusing exclusively on the strategy and growth of the business and delving into the data behind our success. There’s so much potential for expansion at Colony and it’s really exciting to think about what the future holds for us.”
Aaron Ezair, Co-Owner at Colony, added: “It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Rebecca over the years. I’ve enjoyed watching her development and the significant contributions she has made to the growth of Colony. Her knowledge of the businesses within the Colony network and their individual needs is extensive. This has helped to define the way we operate and provide a high-level tailored service to our customers. Rebecca’s level of dedication to our mission drives and inspires the Colony team, a group of incredibly talented individuals who consistently go above and beyond for its members, and Rebecca is one of our best examples of what it means to embody Colony’s core values.
"With her fresh ideas, a pragmatic instinct for making the most of business opportunities and a collaborative approach, Rebecca is the ideal person to drive our strategy forward. I look forward to celebrating even more of her achievements alongside the continued success of Colony in the years to come.”
Speaking of exciting milestones, next year, Rebecca will be taking some time off for maternity leave to dive into her other important new role: parent to Baby Cox. We can't wait to see lots of adorable photos!
In the meantime, please join us in celebrating Rebecca and her well-deserved promotion!
