First Look: Colony King Street Opening April 2026

We’re excited to share the first look at Colony King Street, our newest workspace launching in April 2026.

Located in the heart of Manchester’s central business district, King Street will become our eighth Colony venue and one of our most ambitious spaces yet. Designed as a flagship workspace, it brings together flexible offices, coworking, creative production facilities and community-focused spaces — all under one roof.

Colony King St Coworking Space in manchester

A new home for coworking in Manchester

Spanning 44,000 sq ft, Colony King Street will feature a large coworking floor designed to support freelancers, startups and growing teams.

Members will have access to day passes, floating desks and dedicated desks, alongside a spacious social kitchen and breakout lounge designed to encourage connection, conversation and collaboration throughout the day.

The floor will also include four meeting and conference rooms, with the largest able to transform into an 80-person event space with a stage. This flexible space will host talks, workshops, community gatherings and events throughout the year.

Private offices designed for growing teams

Across the upper floors, we’re creating a range of private offices for teams of four to more than 100 people, giving businesses the ability to scale as they grow.

Members will also benefit from a beautiful rooftop terrace and breakout space overlooking Manchester’s historic King Street — offering a place to step away from the desk, connect with other members, or simply take in the city from above.

Introducing Colony Creator Studios

King Street will also mark the launch of Colony Creator Studios, an exciting new concept for us that expands beyond traditional workspace.

Located on the lower ground floor, the studios will include a professional podcast studio, photo and video production studio, and a versatile gallery and event space designed for exhibitions, content creation and community programming.

The goal is to give members — and the wider creative community — access to the tools and spaces they need to turn ideas into finished projects.Join us for the launch

To celebrate the opening of Colony King Street, we’ll be hosting a series of free coworking days and launch events, giving businesses, freelancers and creatives the opportunity to experience the new space first-hand.

More details will be announced soon on our website and social media channels, so keep an eye out.

A new chapter for Colony

As our director and founder Aaron Ezair explains:

“King Street represents far more than a new workspace for Colony — it signals the next evolution of how people create, collaborate and build businesses in Manchester. Our mission has always been to design environments that spark connection and empower the city’s creative and entrepreneurial communities to thrive.
“With this venue we wanted to push the concept even further. Alongside our coworking and office spaces, Colony Creator Studios introduces dedicated facilities for podcasting, photography, video production and events — giving members and the wider community access to tools that help ideas grow into real projects.
“Manchester is entering a new era of innovation and cultural influence, and King Street allows us to help shape that future. By deepening the sense of community in businesses at the heart of Colony and widening access to the tools of modern creation, we’re building a platform of representation and expression for the next generation of thinkers, doers and creators.”

Colony’s growing network now spans Ancoats, New Islington, the Northern Quarter, Piccadilly and the Central Retail District, with Colony King Street set to open its doors in April 2026.
