Empowering Sustainability: Colony & Northern Group Bring Solar Power to Jactin House

At Colony, we've always been committed to creating innovative workspaces that not only foster productivity and collaboration but also contribute to a more sustainable future. We believe that the workplace of tomorrow should not only inspire creativity but also minimize its impact on the environment. That's why we're thrilled to announce a ground breaking collaboration with Northern Group, as we embark on an eco-conscious journey together. We are installing solar panels on the roof of our Jactin House venue in the vibrant heart of Ancoats, Manchester.

Shining a Light on Sustainability

Solar power is the future, and we are proud to be getting involved in this green revolution. Our new solar panel installation at Jactin House is a testament to our commitment to sustainability. As a workspace provider, we understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and taking steps towards a more environmentally friendly future.

Why Solar Power?

Solar energy is a clean and renewable source of power that harnesses the abundant energy from the sun to generate electricity. By utilizing solar panels, we are taking a significant step towards reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. The 70 solar panels will produce approximately 21367 kWh of solar energy annually, reducing our carbon emissions by 18.2 tonnes.

Benefits for Our Community

The installation of solar panels at Jactin House will not only benefit Colony and Northern Group but also the local community and the environment. Here are some of the key advantages:

1. Reduced Carbon Footprint: Solar power is clean and green, which means that it produces electricity without emitting harmful greenhouse gases. By choosing solar, we are helping to combat climate change and air pollution.

2. Lower Energy Costs: Harnessing the power of the sun will help reduce our energy bills over time, allowing us to allocate resources more efficiently to enhance our workspace offerings for our members.

3. Community Involvement: We believe in the power of community engagement. This project serves as an inspiration for our members and the local community, encouraging others to embrace renewable energy solutions.

4. Reliable and Sustainable: Solar panels are a reliable source of energy, even in Manchester's climate. With proper maintenance, they can provide sustainable power for years to come.

Our Partnership with Northern Group

Our collaboration with Northern Group is a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation. Together, we are working towards a brighter, greener future for Jactin House and the wider entire Ancoats community.

Northern Group shares our vision of creating more sustainable workspaces, and this solar panel installation is just the beginning of our joint efforts to reduce our environmental impact. We are excited to see the positive changes this project will bring about.

What's Next?

As we embark on this solar journey at Jactin House, we invite our members, partners, and the community to join us in celebrating this eco-friendly milestone. Stay tuned for updates on the installation progress, as well as our ongoing efforts to make our workspaces as sustainable as possible.

We are committed to leading by example and hope that our initiative will inspire others to explore solar energy and other eco-conscious practices in their own workplaces. Together, we can create a more sustainable, greener future.

Thank you for being a part of the Colony community, and here's to a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
