Spring Market: Introducing the Vendors

Colony Co-Working – Down Arrow

21 March 2022

After the success of our Christmas Market back in December, we’re delighted to bring back all our amazing local vendors for a fresh and bright Spring Market. We’ll have some old and new faces (and even some of Colony’s own) showcasing their amazing independent, local products. Join us 4-7pm on Thursday 24th March at Colony Piccadilly.

We’ve found there’s nothing Mancunians love more than a local produce market!

After the success of our workspace Christmas Market back in December, we’re delighted to bring back all our amazing local vendors for a fresh and bright Spring Market. On Thursday 24th March from 4pm, we’ll have some old and new faces (and even some of Colony’s own coworking members) showcasing their amazing products. As usual we will be using our most central Manchester venue, Colony Piccadilly, to host the event.

In the build-up to this, we wanted to give you a heads up of which vendors will be there and a bit about them and their wares.

Jewellery

We’ve got a great bunch of local jewellery designers for you to peruse. Firstly, @thelobewardrobe proudly stocks beautiful independently designed and handmade jewellery. All by carefully selected designers, chosen for their happy jewellery aesthetic and outstanding quality of craft. We also have @themagpiesdaughter, a simple and understated brand with some real gems on show!

Homeware

Want to pick out some lovely bits for your home? We’ve got some new faces on our vendor list! Starting with @ebonynostalgia, selling beautiful handmade plant pots, soap dishes and so much more. In addition, we also have @pinkvine.store, another homeware brand with beautiful colourful designs that are must haves for your home.

We also have @what_we_made are great personalised wood carving homeware shop. Founded in 2018, they are a mother & daughter team making eco conscious wooden gifts and lifestyle products.

Art & Prints

First up, we’ve got @PhotoCarve. A unique and stylish way to treasure your favourite memories. Whether it is for a wedding present, a Mother’s Day gift or something special for your loved one, you can turn your most precious photo memories into unique wooden art pieces that last a lifetime. On their website you can easily upload ANY photo, choose how you want your PhotoCarve to look and have a piece within 5 working days. They’ll even edit your photo to make it the best it can be should you need it. They are offering Colony Members 40% off with the code: COLONY40.

We’re got so many more! Hand painted water colour illustrations, printed on recycled paper with eco-friendly packaging from @squibblesillustration. @Bronaghraff is bringing us great and quirky prints of Irish sayings. Black and white illustrations of skylines, landmarks, funny slogans and cute little cartoons from @christopherwalster.

We have self-taught printmaker, designer and photographer @h_a_b_i_t_a_t_s. Finally, from our artists corner, we have talented photographer @manc_wanderer will be selling prints of his great shots of our incredible city. We’ve even nabbed some of these for our own spaces!

Food & Beverages

One of our Jactin House members started to roast his own coffee in lockdown 1.0, and the rest is history! We use it in our filter machines and cafetieres across sites and the coffee speaks for itself! Offering your choice of straight up beans or freshly ground, you’ve got to give a bag of @abeandcocoffee a go!

Being a dog-friendly workspace we also have baked treats for both you and your furry friends! @sams_bakehouse are heading up our human treats. An award winning Cholrton bakery who started as a side hustle in 2019, they have grown into an incredibly popular and too-hard-to-resist gem! Now for our favourite pooches, @thedogcakeco have you sorted for one of a kind cakes, 100% safe for your dog to eat!

If you prefer your treats in liquid form, @the_publicspirit have got you. We love collaborating with these guys at our Colony Members Events! They are an amazing Manchester born rum brand. They believe that drinks should not only taste seriously good but do some serious good too. That’s why they make expertly crafted spirits and cocktails which provide meals for those in need. It’s quite simple, great drinks for you and meals for the people. That’s something we can all say cheers to.

Staff

Our wonderful staff are of course also super talented! We have both of our community team here at Piccadilly as vendors. First up, @mbm.madebymike has his incredible prints for purchase, they’re really one of a kind! We also have the amazing @lucylucile with some quirky prints.

Now, we think this should be enough to entice you in, however we will also have a stocked beer fridge for you to grab a beverage whilst you browse!

The Spring Market will run 4-7pm at Colony Piccadilly on 24th March, you do not need to be a coworking member to attend as it is also open to the public.
